Subject: Vertex modeler and Zoom To Selection..?

ClintH ( ) posted Sat, 03 February 2001 at 1:12 PM · edited Sun, 09 February 2025 at 7:05 PM

For some reason when Im in the Vertex modeler and I select .. oh .. lets say a polygon on a model and then do a Zoom to Selection, nothing happens. In RDS it worked. Anyone else having this problem as well? -or- Am I being stupid? Carrara 1.01 Win98SE. Any info is greatly appreciated. Clint

haha CCP! Well hmm.. What program do you use to name polygons with? Im just chopping up and refining a model as well as naming the polygons. Is 3DS MAX a good choice for this type of work? Clint

Clint, I don't have any problems naming polygons in the vertex modeler, but splitting up an object into two polymeshes bugged me for a long time. I finaly found that after you select and detach the polygons all you have to do is use the cut and paste functions. When you paste the polygons back into the vertex modeler Carrara will allow you to give the polymesh a name. As for the zoom to selected I could never get it to work in the vertex modeler either.
