Francesca Woodman, brilliant female photographer, like Diane Arbus she took her own life in 1981..... I'm not sure if you've ever seen her work, but it reminds me very much of yours. I thought you may enjoy it...... I know I do. If you google her name you will find much more on her.....

I am, therefore I create.......

For Elle ...photographs after war...A man... Acknowledged as a master of twentieth-century photography and the greatest British photographer, Bill Brandt left an indelible mark on the medium during a career that spanned more than fifty years. Trained in Man Rays Paris studio, Brandt returned to England and produced a body of work that ranged from portraits of upper-crust society to views of the poverty of the industrial north. During the Blitz of World War II Brandt created an epic picture of blacked-out London, with images of bomb-damaged landmarks and residents sheltering in underground subway stations.

looks like amazon.com has some fairly good used editions for sale...

Sheila.....Actually the first link from me was for the photographer Francesca Woodman...... the connection between Woodman and Arbus is that they both committed suicide. Which was why I mentioned Arbus. Woodman was 23 when she took her life, Arbus was in her mid 40's..... both became well known very quickly, and early in their photo careers.... Francesca Woodman's work reminds me of Sylvaines work, very, very much. But both Woodman and Arbus happen to be favorites of mine....

I am, therefore I create.......
