I got this really great Enterprise A from light wave group, But when I loaded it in 3 3d programs some of the normals on the model are not being read correctly i think.. How can I correct this, And is it what I think it is?

I also noticed this on other models as well that I loadede into poser 5. I would really like to find a fix for this to correct the normals if that is what it is.

These areas that look like holes can be painted so they are not holes, I also tried a new UV map, Did not get rid of the annomalies.

You didn't say which programs you loaded it into, but what your looking for is something similar to C4D's "Structure | Align Normals" option.

This allows you to select some polygons and gives all the normals the same sense as the majority of the polygons selected.

In Lightwave[8] it's Detail | Polygons: Align

Truespace has a "fix normals" when you import stuff.

Another option, capable within Poser, is a pesky one...

Using the Grouping tool, find the offending flipped polys, highlight them (and only them) and flip the normals using the Grouping tool panel. Its time consuming, but if you have none of the abovementioned modeling programs for aligning polys....

A free version of truespace is available v3.2.

Just a complete guess but you might try downloading the .lwo version and importing it into FlyerX's PoseRay and exporting as .obj. That might fix it.
