Subject: Exporting an Ecosystem possible?

kuroyume0161 ( ) posted Sun, 15 May 2005 at 1:15 AM · edited Tue, 05 November 2024 at 5:50 PM

Because of the 'material' nature of Ecosystems, I haven't had any luck so far trying to export a populated hill range. Is there any way to export an Ecosystem with its object for use in another application (for rendering etc.)? Thanks and ... V5I rocks! :)

C makes it easy to shoot yourself in the foot. C++ makes it harder, but when you do, you blow your whole leg off.

I'm curious if other programs could handle the poly count?

I can't imagine how anything (not even what Gates could afford) could handle such an import, even if it were possible to create the export. Polygons in the billions? What format could handle it? Hopefully, in a few years, we'll look back at this task, and laugh at numbers in the mere billions. ;-)
