Hi - again. Sorry about this folks but this photoshop Depth of Field thingie is still not working for me. I've changed the angle of the camera so that no mist terrains appear between the camera and my desired object, but when I get to the end of step 4 - it's still not as described. Basically it's as if I have selection lines around ALL the bottles AND the table and only the sky and distant sea are not inside selection lines - this is not what I want. I want just one bottle. Erlik, if you're listening, I don't want to post the image in the forum yet, but if you need to see it I could email it to you? Yes? No? Help!!!??? Fran - OnTheEdge of desperation - again!

As I said in the other thread, it appears you're doing something wrong. You either pasted just the distance render as the Alpha mask, ie haven't merged the layers, or something similar. Check the layers, check the alpha map in Channels. In the alpha mask, you HAVE TO have a white area. Or you are not selecting Alpha 1 when loading the selection. I'd need to see the Photoshop settings, cause the picture of the render won't tell me anything more than your post did. And besides, somebody else might see a problem I don't see, so please, post it here.

I don't want to do that just yet - after all the image may be total pants. I think I've sorted it, I just went to freehand selection tool and removed all the bits I didn't want... seemed to work okay, now I just want to play with the bits I want sharp, and how sharp. Thanks for the tut and all the extra help - (ignore the email) Fran
