Here's a second test with settings for rays, AA, and Distance blurring increased. There is still the granular shimmer and lack of appreciable AA on the building mast. I have also increased the % of Distance Rendering Blur and area of influence. The problem I see with this solution is that it really kills defined rendered details to blend/blotch them together. Both texture and object AA are enabled. The per object AA is at 90% quality with this render. The texture AA is at 90% I have started another test with higher settings all the way around and hope to post the results this weekend. The newest settings for 100 frames is 14Hrs. The same time for the original 400+ frames over 5 PC's. I hope to tackle full vid resolution (NTSC) 720x480 in the coming weeks. Any insight or advice would be greatly appreciated. TIA richcz3Which mode are you using to render ? do you have Vue Infinite or Vue 5 ? I would recommend using the User Mode and play with AA settings : object AA, Texture AA, number of rays, quality settings. Also don't forget the manual - there is a good chapter near the end of the manual about how to improve quality and reduce time in your renders.

Hi agiel I am using Infinite and I have just upped the intensity and max radius of the Distance Blur. That is a manual suggestion and it comes at the price in reduced detail and longer render times. :( In the short render I've linked you can see the reduced Grain and increased blur. Unfortunately the Object AA is still a mystery as you can see in the new linked render. Its at 95% and almost maxed at other relative settings. I am running the next test at 640x480 to see if its a Vue AA resolution limitation. richcz3This site uses cookies to deliver the best experience. I rendered a test yesterday and render is very grainy and the antialiasing is almost non existant evern though its enabled. The only way to get this cleaner is either crank up the various quality settings to maximum and/or enable the distance blur mentioned in the manual. Both of which come at an expense of much longer renders. There is also a problem with trees popping
