Subject: Simple way to change a shirt?

What is the simple way to change "James" shirt to that polo number in the library? When I click on it I get the polo on top of that scrappy sweatshirt.

Also, now that I can export Poser into Carrara I need help in getting the changes to export too. Example: I changed James hair to blond and it renders ok in Poser, I saved it and exported the file to Carrara and surprise! The brown buzz cut is back and no long blond hair at all.

Is there a good book out there?

Thanks for all your help in the past, I am sure I will love Poser when I get oriented, but now its a mystery.

You need to load in the naked james figure from the library to add clothes to him.

OK, I feel really stupid, now I get a naked James with a shirt half over his head, I don't see any way to connect the shirt to his body or fit it to him. When I try to select the shirt all I get is a piece. Same problem with adding hair. I get a wad of hair parts above his head and see no way to attach it or even move it in one piece. So I now have a naked, bald James with bits of hair in the air and a shirt half over his head.

select the shirt and go to your Figure pull down menu and click "conform to..." this will give you a dialog box that will allow you to select james for the shirt to conform to. same goes for all "confroming" clothes. as for the hair. delete what you have. select James, then reinsert it. it will attach automaticly. we all gotta start somewhere. welcome to your new addiction.

Is there no manual with poser 6? If there is, then I would suggest to all beginners to read it and any other docs that you get with the program.

The "conforming" choice did not do the trick, the shirt is still only part way on James. FYI: The manual sucks. It is not written in a way that makes sense to me. I see nothing that explains, in a simple way, how to put a shirt on a back or hair on a head. There is a lot of information telling what the program can do, and not a lot telling how to do it. I don't care about animation. I don't care about cameras, palettes and cloth rooms, I just want to put a shirt on a back! For instance, there is a ton of stuff on hair length, color, kink etc. but I cannot find any thing on how to apply it.

It sounds like the poser 5 manual. The conform to should work unless the shirt is a cloth room prop. If the shirt is not a figure, then it is made for the cloth room and won`t conform.

The only other thing i can think of is that that shirt you are inserting isn't made for james. If your using James's shirt it should be purple. the only other polo i see is the Men's Polo Shirt in the P4 male folder (brown with a white colar). the p4 male polo when you try to conform it to james sits way too high.
