3DCommune presents the 1st Semi-Occaisional Woody Contest! Where's Woody? - Woody's Summer Vacation. The contest opens June 1, 2005 and closes on July 30th, 2005 at midnight server time. The theme of the contest? Where's Woody for his summer vacation? Clarification on the theme: It's summer time and everyone takes a vacation in the summer right? well, so does Woody. But where does Woody take his time away from his antics? That's your job to show us: Create an image, photo, drawing or an animation of Woody on his summer vacation. This contest has 4 ways to enter - Still images, animated images, drawings or photographs. Everyone can enter a 3D image, an animation, photograph, drawing or all of the above, only one animated entry please. You may post up to 3 entries as always, this includes if you use different media like photos, drawing and/or a 3D image. (only one animated entry please) Entries can be created in any way you like, with any software you like. You can even take photos of a (well something woody. A wooden drawing manikin or maybe a guy dressed up in a woody suit) or draw your entry on paper. Of course, if you create a non-digital entry, you'll have to get it into digital format before you can post it, but we'll leave how you do that up to you. Entries will be judged on the following criteria: Silliness Woodyness Creativity and just plain fun :) Silliness probably doesn't need any explanation. Woodyness definitely needs an explanation. However as a picture is worth a thousand words, to get a good idea of what woodyness is (what woodys are like when left on their own), please visit the Woody Warz gallery on 3dcommune.com and have a good giggle at the humour in the images. By the time you've viewed several, you'll probably have a real good idea of what woodyness is. Please make sure to disable comments and ratings on any entries posted. Entries don't have to be specifically created for this contest. If you have an older one that would work well, feel free to post it.
