Every time i click on any of the library categories it takes much longer for them to display than in poser 4.03. it is quite a nuisance. has anyone else seen this?

Yes seems to load slower for me also.

It's designed to do that. No more .RSR's means things launch a little slower. because the files are not compressed or held in memory anymore. Why did they do that? Answer: We used to have to shut down Poser. Delete the rsr. And re-open it every time we wanted to edit a figure's geometry or UV mapping. Now we don't have to do that anymore! But the trade off is things launch a little slower. Also-The first time you open a library. It converts any of the old thumbnail .rsr's to .png files. So that can take a second or two also. ScottA

Thanks for the info Scott--it seems a worthy trade-off!

Mine is only slow the first time, when its making all of those .png files (witch are hald the size of the .rsr's) after that, it's as fast as normal. -Trav

Mine remains slow every time i use it. Does one have to have the Enable Compressed Files checked? I am running a PII 400 machine with lots of RAM. thanks
