Hi Joe... I have been having a lot of the same probs. There is a fix for some of them however. Firstoff you should read this... http://www.renderosity.com/messages.ez?Form.ShowMessage=226123 Especially the instructions from Joe Grover from CL (LawnDartLawnDart)... It seems from my experience that for figures with conformed clothing attached, you have to manually load in the textures in the usual way... I.e. via the materials dialogue. It should ask you to find the texture directories for the realistic hair that you mention. I.e Zygote wigs with trans maps or Kozaburo wigs. Note that these will be welded to the main figure as one object. As far as 'Mekangel' I don't have an answer as some figures seem to crash max and some don't... Hope some of this helps... Colm...
Problem I had with transmapped hair was that Max rendered it as entirely transparent. It was coming in with Advanced Transparency (in Extended Paramenters) set to 100%. Once I went through and set this back to 0, it rendered as expected. This was the morph hair from Kozaburo, it had no trouble with losing the transmap, but it did lose the other texture maps. On Win2k, Max 3.0

Running PIII/400 NT 4.0 SP5 Max 3.1 and Poser PP. Instanced a PZ3 scene with P4 female (anton texture) and corrected thin strap dress with texture map for the dress - rendered in Max - all fine EXCEPT - dress does not render with texture shows up as white object. Mekangel character instances in Max but fails to render and crashes Max during rendering attempt. also, none of the realistic hair objects render in Max. Any suggestions!!!
