I usually do my white backgrounds the same way :)
Lightbox - meter off a leaf - then shoot. It usually gives me +2 over exposure of the background which is enough to wash it out completely white.
Sometimes I use white card making sure the card is 2 stops overexposed compared to the subject.

Yes Bravo the light boxes are great and some at bargain prices as you show so well some perfect lighting but good technique is always required to get the exposure spot on

i post two original shots whitout postwork. the first is +0,3 and the second is + 1,3 exposure correctur.
there isnt so much postwork to do as many peoples are thinking.
