Subject: Export a Tree as *.obj

Hi all,

I would like to export a tree out of Bryce into Poser. My first thougt was to export as *.obj, but there is no chance to do it at 'export object'. Here I found some nice hints to export an *.obp by changing into 'E' and than 'CTRL+D'. This won't work, because the tree editor is coming up and there is no chance to export it on this way.

Is there any other way to get this loveley Bryce-tree into poser?

Thank's a lot

Daniel + Matthias

In a word. No. Easier to get the poser figure into Bryce.

Hi Dann,

we expected something like this. Our thougt was to export this .obp/.br5 into a third software (3DMax, DAZ.....), than export it as *.obj into Poser.

But nevertheless, we have to find another way.

Have a nice day

Matthias

Hey Matthias, can you import or open .obp in maya/max? Hope bryce rectifies that one day, hey Dann:)

I never intended to make art.

You can only re-export imported meshes. If there are any metaballs and/or Bryce primitives in the object, then it won't export; Tree-lab trees are made out of metaballs and that is why they won't export.
