I just uploaded my 1st free stuff. I guess it'll be available once AS or Zhann approves it. I searched the entire Bryce free stuff area to ensure something similar wasn't already there. So, I'm pretty sure its original. I don't know how useful they'll be. Eventhough I cranked up the Refraction to 300, I still find the Gems look like they're made of glass. Anyone know how to make them look more gem-like? I actually researched the angles of the facets and tried to reproduce those angles in Wings. I don't know, maybe I didn't get it just right.

Play with the TIR and Ray Depth. Sorry I don't have some settings for you to start with, but I know that the TIR in concert with the Ray Depth and Refraction is the way to simulate Gem stones.

This is not my "second childhood". I'm not finished with the first one yet.

The angle of refraction and the cutting angles must be matched . That is the cutting angles are defined by the type of material. Use a cutting pattern for a diamond and cut with emerald and you have a poor stone. I found you have to use a lot of lights and tinker with viewing angle to get them to look good in any 3d application.
