Subject: P5 vs P6 questions

I've got P5 installed, and have debated going to P6. But I'd really like to know what I'm getting before paying to upgrade. I've looked for a thread here debating the issue of P5 vs P6 but can't find one. Just threads dealing with P4 vs P5. The Poser site is no help because I don't want hype, just the experience of users. Is there a thread I've missed dealing with this issue? Specifically, I'm wondering if P6 supports HT processors or has a multiple step undo capacity. I'd also love to be able to sort items in a parameters list. I'm sure I'm not the only one a bit overwhelmed by something like V3's head morph list once injected. Being able to alphabetize them, sort by morph value, etc. would be a basic function if I were in charge of the UI design. Anyway, I've slipped into rant mode, but I'd greatly appreciate a link to a discussion of P5 vs P6.

No hyperthreading, no network rendering, and still no mulitiple undo. The undo, however, is slightly improved, and does work for more actions than it did in P5 (so it seems). Most of the enhancements done to P6 have come in the way of production. Meaning, there's more advanced materials, material room can be viewed in simple or advanced mode, rendering options are improved upon (for Firefly users), and lighting is enhanced (point light now available as well as IBL, soft raytraced shadows, ambient occlusion, and negative-intensity lighting). Some workflow enhancements include "wacros" for implimenting complex python scripting quickly, cached renders for comparing multiple renders, spot rendering for rendering specific areas of your scene without having to render the entire thing, shadow and texture caching for saving shadow maps and textures to memory so they don't have to be loaded every time you run a test render (increases speed), and OpenGL for more accurate shading in preview mode. These are all things I find invaluable now, and are not available in P5.

Tools :  3dsmax 2015, Daz Studio 4.6, PoserPro 2012, Blender v2.74

System: Pentium QuadCore i7, under Win 8, GeForce GTX 780 / 2GB GPU.

Still no HT support... ug. Guess I'll just keep working with half a brain then. The spot and cached rendering sound interesting though. Still, my biggest complaint is with the clunky UI. I almost wish Adobe or Macromedia would give this niche a shot. I'm sure it would cost $500 minimum, but at least the program would resemble a professional application in terms of usability. Anyway, back to scrolling through 100 morph dials for me...

I've had the same questions about P5 vs. P6. For me, it sounds like I can stick with P5. I'm not advanced enough to use most of those enhancements (except perhaps lighting). My biggest disappointments with P5 are the clunky UI and primative editing features (the undo and memorize/restore). I would upgrade to improve those things.
