how to make bump maps on poser figures in bryce 5?? ive imported my scythe from poser to bryce and i wanna ad some bump on it how can i do that?...other standart bumpmaps of bryce dont fit to it.

You should be able to bump-map a Poser figure in the same way you would bump-map anything else in Bryce.

Perhaps you need to adjust the mapping type and/or scaling of your texture? That's all I can suggest on this one :-/

i use the 2d texture and instead of a bump map ..the field is white..no bump map or picture to see

Just a question, did you make the alpha channel of the poser figure ;)

Click on a part of the figure. Click on M. You see three pics in the upper right corner. Above them are two buttons. Click on the one that says Texture source editor when you pass the mouse over it. You get three windows. In the first and the last one are the pictures of the texture. Click on Copy beneath the first one, and then on Paste under the middle window. Click OK. Now, in the material editor, put a button in the A column under Bump Height and adjust the value to something that looks good to you.

Of course, that's all in Bryce. If the Poser texture has a bump map, you'll find it in Poser - Runtime - libraries - textures, and then the folder for the appropriate category. Poser default figures don't have separate bump maps. but in the same location, you'll find transparency maps for hair and lashes or eyebrows.
