I like to get dynamic clothing regularly, and without charge... Oh, you weren't asking that... :) I'd expect the simulation parameters and constrained (etc.) vertices to be set up. Opinions seem to differ on whether the clothing should be smart-propped or not, but I don't care either way. I wouldn't expect free or paid-for clothing to differ in how they were set up, but of course if a free item needed fixing myself I'd do it cheerfully. :)
Hmm. But doesn't the setup become timeline dependant.? If you provide it pre-set up how do you guarentee the setup is consistant with a static render oppose to an animation?

I may have misunderstood the basis of your question; but I'm ploughing on regardless. :) I don't have much experience of animating dynamic cloth to produce an animation, as opposed to animating to drape it for a still; but I'd expect that dynamic clothing that was set up for an animation would also function well in a static render. When making a still picture, the number of frames in the "pre-animation" would be important, but I don't think you can enforce that except by making suggestions in the readme. I haven't seen anything like that so far in dynamic clothing that I've bought or downloaded free.

I like dynamic clothing, but I is biased LOL, but please don't set them up, but parent them yes. The reason I say not to set them up with dynamic groups is that what you want affected may not be what I want effected in the simulation.

I love dynamic clothing, but have no clue how to apply textures to them :( Some packages come with conforming as well as dynamic clothes, and textures apply to the conforming, but if I use the dynamic, I can't seem to apply the textures. So if a package comes with both, I would like instructions on how to apply the included textures.

I use svdl's dynamices a lot. Unfortunally for me, I only got V3 of the figuers he made dynamice clothes for. Fortunally for everyone else who made clothes for V3 :-) They are great to use. One of the reasons is, that you can make a piece of clothes looks like it's made of any kind of material. A silk kimono behaves different in wind than a leather coat do. M3 could use some dynamice clothes.

Ok we all know why I am asking but I need to know.
Obviously there are things that can be done to help set up dynamic cloth but since I have been gone for a bit :), I am curious what people expect to get.
Does this make any sense? Or is nooone doing this at all?
lol Now I don't mean a wish list, but what is the standard for a dynamic props free or otherwise?
