It doesn't matter if you don't select Scale to Fit, most printers need a margin to grab onto the paper as they print. If your design goes all the way to the edge and beyond, you'll need to either get a printer that prints all the way to the edges or get a print bureau to do your letterhead with your design. OR, you can simply create a design that doesn't go all the way to the edges.
You can always print with crop marks on larger paper and cut the paper on the right size to compensate for the border your printer needs. Extend the things that have to go beyond the side of the paper for a millimeter or three... If you can live with your letters being slightly smaller than others, you save the costs of buying a borderless printer...

I've made a design for letterhead, it is exactly 8.5 x 11 inches. When I try to print it out at home I get this transparent border all the way around it. I don't select scale to fit. I'm not understanding how to do this. With the design being the same size as the paper why isn't it printing right? I'm using PS7 and a lexmark Z32. Do I have to take it to a professional printer or what? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Stew451
