Subject: Carolly, How is this for a foxglove?

If I remember correctly, Carolly suggested a foxglove as a possible model...that was probably a few years ago. Well, we planted a couple and have enjoyed them since the spring, so I decided to try to make a facsimile. I know, the leaves are wrong. I'm using a hydrangia leaf, lol. But, does it look reasonable? I'm starting to learn to like P6 materials. I'm not much of a painter, so faking materials using an editor like PSP or PS (or gimp, which is what I use:) isn't very effective. But, I'm getting some decent results. Also, with SP 1, I think the blackened planar issue has been resolved (leaves that bend so that the back side is visible and was rendered as solid black by P5) I'm thinking the blossom is shaped badly, so, I'll go back and look at some pictures to get that one shaped better. Comments are encouraged. Thanks, eric

I don't know what flower that is or what it should look like. But I think it looks damn good. :)

Not really poisonous, depends on how you use them. The medication used for dialating the arteries of the heart when a patient has angina, digitalis, comes from the foxglove. Looks great but the lower lip of the flower comes out further. Beautiful job on the leaves as well. Marque

Also the leaves are below at the plant base and the stem has the flowers, older blooms at the bottom of the plant. Marque
