Subject: The "Drop" Function and Ecosystems

I don't seem to be able to get the "drop to surface" tool to work with an Ecosystem. What I want to be able to do is drop an imported object (a helicopter) onto an Ecosystem building. Does anybody know if it's supposed to work, or am I going to have to eyeball it?

I think you'll find that the ecosystem objects, as instances, don't exist in the scene as a solid 3D object as such. You could eyeball it, but remember that if you need to repopulate the scene, the building may not necessarily be in the same location. A better way that will give you more control, would be to put the actual 3d building you are using in the eco system into the scene, then populate the eco system.

Thanks. I thought it was probably something like that. :)
