Here is my attempt so far. I am happy with the bubbly look of the soda, but the lighting and table cloth could still use some work.

the bubbly look is awesome, maybe the light can be improved... i think is a sunny day looking your background..

very nice.. the "cola-liquid" looks perfect...i like the backround pic !!

Did you eco the icecubes? Tried that with poor results, yours looks really good.

niandji ( ) posted Sat, 25 June 2005 at 4:59 PM

Agree with everyone else - those bubbles have come out really well.

The bubbles are a simple Starfield pattern, applied to the bump of the liquid inside the glass. There is no eco here.

Oh! A starfield - good idea :o) Works well. Glass looks great too. Agree more of a sunlight look would be good - maybe caustics?

Second attempt. I changed the cloth, added a spotlight and made the ice cubes luminous to make them show better. Pictures are my own, taken during a vacation in the Florida Keys.

I love it. One idea to play with might be to use a palm tree frod to generate some cool shadows on the table. Take a palm tree ford, above the table and out of the camera view and shine a light above it. The starfield mat is way cool.

Great idea with the palm tree shadow. I will give it a try ! :)

You were right ! Adding the shadow of palms gave some interesting features to the boring table cloth. I also increased the luminosity of the straw to make it appear more translucent.

Wow, great work.

Fine work!!! The shadows are great, and it seems you have raised the postcard a bit, so it drops shadows too Think I'll "steal" some idea, if I can ;)
