As I said in my comment, I love the 'lil blurry background!! These are beautiful romantic shots! I'd like to see them in B&W or sepia too! I think it would fit the scene wonderfully! great shots here and she's very brave to lay down naked in the grass!!! With the insects wandering around...! Ewwwwwwww!
I like the second one better, just because of the smile. Her turning her head away adds to the voyeuristic feel, regardless of the focus. In the second one, she displays a warm emotion towards the watcher. I agree with cyn about the stump, though. Then, I, too, had to read your explanation to notice the focus on the grass. That's how we are built. Us humans, that is. :-p The first thing you notice is the human figure. The rest is just background.

The top one is just splendid for me...... indeed there's a romantic quality to it. The soft focus on the body makes it more dreamy. Honestly did not notice the stump, and for me it doesn't distract, it's just part of the natural background. Her turned away face in the first makes me focus on the shape and form of her beautiful curves..... Where in the second her direct gaze and smile seem like an invitation to come and visit ..... I prefer the first. Nice to see the comparison!
I am, therefore I create.......

already the first comment to this post stumbled over the focus on the grass; my perception is that with focus on the grass such an image has less a voyeuristic touch (healed by the smile in the second version though) and hence is "more" artistic.what do you think?
