Wow is that all volumetric? Reminds me of one of those mysterious orbs from the Descent games.

I have been Descenting since I was 7. I have every game in the series, plus the amazing Freespace and Freespace 2. I am not alone in the Descent world!

Yup, I've been playing Descent since I was little too. It's really an awesome game that just got better and better. Too bad they finished the story off in Descent3.

Freespace and Freespace2 are great games, but Freespace1 should never have had the Descent name attached to it. It has nothing to do with the other game and was just shameless marketing ploy. =) That does look a lot like a shield orb. You should make a Pyro and use that with it. =)

Wait theres more! Wow I cant wait to get back at that double-crossing Dravis!

lol MoonGoat, you should go back and make the Descent ship with what you know now. That sounds interesting, maybe I'll do that too (though it WOULD be a total waste of time lol). I like the middle one (though it's not much compared with what you do now), I was still doing spheres and modeling ships for computer games when I was 10 =)

Tehe as soon as summer school terminates, I got to add that to my list of Bryce adventures.

And get scoleman's shield orb. That really looks awesome and exactly like everyone's favorite Descent powerup.

I played Descent 1 and 2, had a copy of 3 that came with the graphics card, but that pasted me in no time..I've played descent since my 30's (well, I'm 47, so cut me some slack..;) I've even made the Descent ship (Descent 1..most of the reference pics are low-poly), have it in .obj.

what a trip down memory lane. i have all the games except Descent:Mercanaries (pardon spelling, i think its a game in the series.) i rember playing that game in DOS, then we got Win '95. and that made it better. c:Descent :)

Hehe, don't worry, Descent: Mercenaries is an expansion pack to Descent3 and really not worth it.
