Mercenary Joe -------------

This project was put on hold over a year ago for all sorts of good and proper reasons -- none of which had to do with the project itself.

Now that life seems to be going at a saner pace, I have started on Poser projects again. Last weekend, I dusted Mercenary Joe off, and have since rebuilt 95% of the geometry in LW. Most of the textures have been re-worked for the new mapping as well.

At this point, all conformers and smart-props are complete, including hair. All MATerials are comeplete.

Not yet done are MAT poses for hiding/showing the tunic and boot cuffs, and the FBMs.

I hope to have this in beta this weekend.

This has got to be one of the best workable armor sets I've seen in a long time. Unlike a lot of the "cheesecake" armors out there, this one looks like it would be of some use in an adventuring situation. Is there any chance that you'd do something along the same lines for V3? I'll be waiting for this one.

Thanks for the compliment. I would have to do some thinking about a V3 design. The idea of a "workable" outfit for V3 is certainly interesting, but it would be a very different design/character than MJ here.

Design wise, it might not be too different when you get right down to it. Do a search on the artist Larry Elmore (who worked for TSR for years and years) for ideas. Any of his older D&D paintings and designs as well as his new material are a wealth of ideas. Just a thought...

Cool! Will there be a set for the FREAK as well? :-D

Well it's about time. ;) I still have the earlier beta languishing in my runtime folder. :) THis version looks even better.

Woohoo! I've been haunting this forum and Daz for over a year now just waiting for more Gorodin stuff to come out! Glad your life is saner now and I look forward to this release - and hopefully more Concord stuff as well!

Great looking set! You're just as talented when it comes to modeling as you always have been with texturing. :) I'm glad to hear real life has calmed down a bit for you now, and it's good to see you creating again. Take care! SnowS
