okay... so my money saving quest is not working out so well so i can get a wacom tablet, and i see aiptek tablets are cheaper so has anyone ever used one of these things? does it get the job done?, need a tablet before i go bonkers!! using a mouse for hours on end without a break hurts your hand after a while! d.c.

Some of the cheaper tablets work just fine. I use a cheap and nasty for things here and there. I suppose it depends on what you would like to use it for. In the end most of the time, you get what you pay for:]

I never intended to make art.

I use an Aiptek, The drivers for me have been a little quirky. A few times while reinstalling several apps, I've had to reinstall the Aiptek drivers. But now everything seems fine. The unit does not have quite the resolutiuon I would like, but like Sans said you get what you pay for. I would buy it again. Peace Neil
