okay, when it comes to M3, V3, SP3, m Mil Kids/PreSchool Kids, David and Freak...which of these characters can use other characters texture maps? is there some place I can look to find this info about each character? also, what exactly does it mean if, for example, it states that David is "backwards compatible" with M3? thanks for any clarification or being set on the right path to enlightment! Pretty much all of them with varying degrees of success. The lips and nips tend to wander a bit but all the Unimesh characters can wear each other's textures. Which is useful if you want a stubbly V3 with a hairy chest. :) Additionally, the original Stephanie and Mike 1 and 2 can share textures. If you want to make the most of your textures, DAZ has the Universal Texture Convertor which allows you to change figures with wildly different mapping. You need to buy plugins for most conversions, though. Backwards Compatible in this sense means David (a newer model) can wear Mike 3's textures (an older figure).

What's great about the mil figures sharing textures is when you use second skin clothing. Then Mike 3.0, Vickie 3.0, the Freak, Stephanie Petite, Luke, Laura, Maddie, and Matt? can all wear the same pair of jeans.

And for those figures that are not cross-compatable, many have remapped versions available free. Not all are in FreeStuff, so ask if you need any particular conversion and someone probably already has one lying around.
