yer best bet for running any windows based app under linux is crossover office. ( the name is misleading, it's not an office suite ) if you have a copy of osx kicking around you can install macutilities, and with the osx cd in the drive, run mac programs. ( it does work for os9 and 8, might not for osx ) is your mandrake 10.0, 10.1 or 10.2[ mandriva 2005 le ]? it's always a good idea to work with newest release [ in a number series ], as it has the fewest bugs.

I see many discussions from time to time here concerning questions about OS's to use. Since almost all fall either into the PC(MS) or Mac (none of the pograms I use would run on Linux natively), I'm curious if anyone here uses emulators or other apps to run the photo/art programs popular with most artists? I've installed Mandrake 10 on a an unused celeron machine, and find it a very nice desktop OS- but I bawk at learning yet another command prompt language to set up some of the apps for Linux (some have install packages that do it automatically). Anyone running Linux full-time? Thank you, Paul
