"Dragon*Con is America's largest, multi-media, popular arts conventionfocusing on science fiction and fantasy, gaming, comics, literature, art, music, and film." You can go to their site and see a list of guests, including Anne and Todd McCaffrey, Robert Jordan, Marina Sirtis, Dean Stockwell, and many others, plus some of the discussions and events. Deadline is about mid-August unless I get enough and stop accepting them. There's no money involved since we won't be distributing them or printing them off for sale. This is just to show people what is capable of being produced using Bryce and to showcase some artwork (hence adding your name and e-mail to the images). This site uses cookies to deliver the best experience. Well folks, it looks like DAZ has roped me into doing two one-hour panels at DragonCon this year.
Like BT did for SIGGRAPH last year, I'm looking for Bryce images to showcase during the panel discussion and possibly to print out and place in a notebook when we do demonstrations.
If you wish to participate, please send me links to the image(s) you'd like to have considered and I'll look through them and choose. I'll then arrange to have you send me the electronic version along with your permission to use/print the image(s). You can place your name and e-mail on the images or I can do that for you. Not every image I select will be printed (costs money to print), but I will be using more in the presentations. The images will not be sold or reprinted (except for those placed in the notebook).
Now for the kinds of images I'm looking for:
Visualize your world - images that reflect how you can build your world in Bryce, whether its landscapes, cities, futuristic cities/worlds, etc. These can be still images or animations.
Million Dollar Images - images that show what you can do with Bryce in conjunction with other programs that don't cost an arm and a leg, like DAZ|Studio, Dogwaffle, Wings 3D, Paint Shop Pro (okay Photoshop too), Mimic Lite, etc. Like what Andy Simmons, Will Kramer, and Beton do with Bryce and other programs (those are just the first three that popped into my head).
Please e-mail me at riggsd@daz3d.com with links to the images. Please do not post them here in this thread.
Thanks everyone!
