Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 22 9:27 pm)
I've noticed that too sometimes. I also notice that sometimes after I've scaled the hair, and then repose the figure that the hair vanishes off the top of the head. it's still listed in the drop down, but no where to be found in the pose window. It's not all of the time, just sometimes. I too would like to know a work around/solution for these.

Hey Andrew, What I do is just not to conform the hair (treat it as a prop). I load the hair and then "parent" it to the head. Now if/when I resize it, I just bring it back down with the Y trans dial (which you couldn't do if it was conformed). See when the hair is conformed and you resize it, it is conforming to a figure that should also have been resized. A resized figure would be taller and that is why the hair moves up. Hope that helps, SWAMP
Andrew,
I was following your post in another thread, were you able to convert your hair using the wardrobe wizard?
The method that other member posted looked very promising to convert conformed hair, but I got stuck at a step where it said to load the skullcap as an morphed target. The problem is it only allows me to export the whole hair, not just the base.
Anyways, just wondering if you ever got your conformed hair converted using that way.
Some hair in the figures library you can scale up and down from the "Chest". That's if the hair has a chest dial. I use that to scale up and down the San Francisco Hair.

If you feel like working with it a bit, for a fit. Take a look at Netherworks free hair fitting kits.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Consider me insane if you wish, but is your reality any better?
Sorry, I was wrong... I was scaling down the hair using the chest dial... for the smaller figure morphs I was doing. Using the head dial makes the hair bigger but go up as well... bigger like all the way around. The X scale works in all body parts.. so if you wanted wide hair it would work.. I'm using San Francisco hair to do all this.. With Catwalk Hair the same applies when using the scale dial on all body parts.. the hiar gets distored when scaled up etc.. If you want big hair maybe use the indavidual dials x,y,z and try parenting different body parts to the head.

Hi all, Have you ever loaded up a figure, then added a hair figure (i.e. from the Figures library), then scaled it say to 105% ? ... You would have seen that the hair figure starts translating upward .... very annoying. This happens to me when I load up the Jason hair to a morphed David figure. Is there any way to get around this ? thanks, Andrew
