In a Previous link Richardson asked how to randomly tile a floor so that you don't get a repeated patern, and "msg 24 7" gave the link above, to a way to do that, BUT what i want to know is Further down the page on that link is a render with Rain drops hitting a water covered floor, Does any know how this is created with nodes??? i have tried the wave2d and wave3d but cannot get the random placing effect in the image....

Getting old and still making "art" without soiling myself, now that's success.

For the circles created by the raindrops I did use a tilable texture map. I've got to search my bookmarks, cause it was map, that was available somewhere. Martin

Found the link where I got the map :) http://www.evermotion.org/tutorials/particles/rain/ This thread maybe interesting too... http://www.renderosity.com/messages.ez?Form.ShowMessage=2039592 Some interesting posts about creating wet floor effects. In Post 21 you'll find my set up for the ground material. Martin

This is the source of that rain effect.

Wow...that's realy cool. I wish I understood half of what that tutorial said. The bitmaps and stuff in the .rar file...will they work with poser or should I not waste my time downloading and coaxing the files from the zip?

go to winrar.com and get the free download to unrar them. Marque

Does anyone know where i can get a WINRAR that isn't a trial version, as my winrar has expired...and now i can't unrar the rain source files.... Why don't people just use .Zip files???? and so many other questions...lol...

Check out StuffIt Expander... It does unpack rar too, and it's free! It's included with the StuffIt Standard trial, but will work after the trial has expired. Martin

You can use Winrar forever it says it's expired but it still works :)

Or you could just pay for it.
