I repainted my david not any kind of mapping expierence. How does one go about converting one body texture layout like david to a totally different layout like James? thnx wally

That isn't easy. The UTC (Universal Texture Converter) only works on DAZ figures so far, I believe. And the results aren't ideal.

You can try to move the parts around in Photoshop so they fit the new template, but it's not easy. Especially for James, who has weird mapping.

There's a reason why so many of us are willing to pay money for textures.

The universal texture converter works quite well with most maps. I have never bought a texture, there are plenty of free ones that are ok, some photorealistic.

IME, the UTC works best with high-res textures. The higher the resolution, the better.

Even so, small details like the eyebrows will often turn out different. Not necessarily bad, but different from the original.

It isn`t a perfect program (none are). I tried a spiderman texture that worked very badly. UTC does work better with higher resolution textures.

Do you think it will ever support James and Jessi?

I don`t know, there have not been many new plugins for it recently for any characters (I still want them to make a poser 4 people plugin for it).
