Earlier I posted the photo-realistic "photo" of a backyard workbench. Some questioned what was so interesting about this 3D image... Well, I did some searching and found the actual photo-realistic animation that goes with it. It's an AVI file you can either watch on-line or download. But I can tell you- it is as CLEVER and HILARIOUS as anything you've seen animated in the "Toy Story" movies. Take the time to watch it- it's really funny... The photo posted here is one of the characters in the animation link posted below...

You sure come up with some great links, but, for me anyway, the images that you are linking from this site don't show. It looks like they don't allow remote linking.

If the AVI link doesn't work try this link to the Project Messiah Video Shorts- Scroll down to: "Pepe" (12.5meg DivX format; sound) by Daniel Martinez Lara This scene is 100% computer generated-- there is no live action background plate. It was created to show off the new messiah:render package and to showcase the animation skills of Daniel Martinez Lara and his partners. The DivX format provides the best image, but if you don't have that codec or don't want to install it, here are some additional formats: 9meg MPEG-4 38meg Quicktime ****************************************************** I downloaded the 9 meg MPEG-4 version because it was smaller, however the 12.5meg DivX format; sound version is I'm sure much better- and if you have the time- the 38meg Quicktime version... ANYONE doing animation could learn A LOT from this work of genius. This is really HIGH QUALITY character animation as well as state-of-the-art Photo-Realistic rendering...

I HATE all these Java and Frame-based websites- nothing links right- Make sure you click on the THEATRE tab at the TOP of the page to go to the video shorts section...
