Subject: Box Mode and invisible figure in Max 3 (pz3)

I opened a pz3 in Max 3 and the figure is a man with dress( hand band and footwear), when the file was loaded, I can't see the main figure, only the dress figures moving, and the figures are all in box after I hit animation button. any tips :) Also why there is alwasy a seam at the uvmap joints in LW when I load a p4 figure ?
