Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Feb 18 2:22 am)
zulu, you might give this a try; The biggest problem I've found saving a BVH pose is it's associated with the Posing Camera and has to be re-associated to the Main Camera, so.. With your pose displayed, zero the x,y and z translation dials then swith to the Main Camera. You may have to look for the figure..use the camera.Once found save it in the Pose Library. When I did this this I had the Hip selected and saved everything except the Morphs. When I tested the pose on a new scene and figure I wound up with the original hip translations, easy to correct...zero them out then I selected the Body, unchecked the Universe when I saved again no Morphs, overwritng the previous saved version. Now it appears to work. This may not be the most efficient method but it might give you a starting point.
I must remember to remember what it was I had to remember.

Okay, I imported the BVH file into Poser. The BVH file alters the position of the actor in relation to the universe, so I translated the figure back into the position I wanted him in. I also tweaked his body parts a bit (oo-err!) in order to finalise the pose. I save the the pose into the library, first without bothering to select subsets. When I subsequently apply that pose in a fresh poser scene, the figure's position in the universe is altered: it ends up in the same position as the figure when I'd previously applied the BVH, and I have to apply the same translations to get in into the correct spot. This is rather annoying, and I've tried saving that pose with various subsets and with and without morph channels. Can anyone help?
