Hi Guys and Girls I've been doing this image for sometime now just trying to get the right atmosphere and lighting in the sky, in which i feel i have managed it, but, I now feel I'm missing things and would like some of your ideas. The whole idea of this image was to try and get a distroyed town/city with the dragon the main cause of distruction. Smoke and some fires will be in the picture once i can feel this image has what it takes. Hope you can help. Marc

Some much smaller scale buildings in the backdrop between those others. Maybe a bit stronger light on the scene, the smoke can be used to diffuse much of the detail.(suggestive damage is enough for subtle detail). Great start.

Thanks Rod. What i did forget to say is that the ground is in fog/mist so only the tops of the buildings are showing. When you say 'stronger light' do you mean the whole image or just on the selected buildings (as fire would glow) which would lighten some areas more.

...enough light to accent the building tops similar to the cast on the dragon.

Maybe more gradual fading of colors on the fog to the buildings? Also more variation?

Maybe bring down the line where the lightning gradates from light to dark would help what they're talking about. Giving the building a touch more light.

Just thought of a better way to say it. I think that you should make the fading from fog to building more gradual. Hope my suggestion makes sense. =)
