Subject: Hey Dodger

I was wondering what has happened to your website, XFX-3D.COM. Whenever I try to go there I am taken to a site for the church of latterday saints. The last post I read was on the 13th of July and you said it should be back up shortly. I am begining to feel that I waisted my money by subscribing to the site. Please respond to this post as the im I sent to xfx went completely unanswered.

ummm...I'm not entirely sure, but I think Dodger either left here in a huff, or was 'invited' to leave..more's the pity, he made such good rayguns..;) he may be lurking around, but I haven't seen him post here in ages..

There are replies from him over at Poserpros, if you need to contact him...

Way too many people take way too many things way too seriously.

You might want to post over at the showcase forum. He posts there (under another name) or someone posts for him. Pdxjims (I think that is right) does a lot of work with him, so he might also know...and he seems to be very active both here and in the showcase.... eric

Yep. Gareee is correct. If he's likely to be found anywhere, it's at Poserpros.

Dodger's banned here, yes. He told someone he could see up their nose, and he was banned for "one week" that stretched into eternity. That being said, he's recently moved to a new city and is studying art formally at a very good school, and I have the impression he's quite busy with that. His server was moved from its previous location when the site owner decided to be a complete and utter arsehole and pulled the plug without warning, and then the domain was hijacked. My understanding is that there are networking issues with the actual server (which is live and working, but not able to access the net) and there are or have been negotiations to get the domain back. And yes, Poser Pros is where you're most likely to find him these days. He has said that he plans on having a nervous breakdown once the semester is over and the server is back online, though, meaning that he's painfully aware of the issues/problems. I'm sure that if he were in the actual city where the server is housed, he'd be more able to fix things himself (including, one would hope, grabbing the former hostee by some tender part of the anatomy and explaining in graphic terms why the domain should be returned posthaste). That's all I know about the matter, though. Dodger hasn't been around online in ages, that I've seen (which is what leads me to believe he's very busy; his phone wasn't turned on last time I checked, either). bonni

Also - Dodger has stated several times that anyone being affected by the XFX-3D involuntary hiatus will of course get their subscription period extended when the site is back up. I'm pretty sure it will be duly advertised when the site is back up, and you have access to all the promised goodies. So - all in all, I am sure he's as sorry for the inconvenience as you are, but until he is back home and has access to his server, his hands are as tied as ours. ~S

Thank you all for your responses. I was not trying to upset anybody but when I did not get a responce from my IM to the site administrator, I felt that I was being ignored. I hate that. A simple message stating that they got my message and were working on the problem would have been nice. I hope they get things straightened out quickly.

The server is currently at my place, but not internet accessable. The problem is his old provider won't release the domain name, so we can't resolve any conflicts. I do know the good folks at XFX-3D are working on a solution, and hope to have one in the next couple of weeks.
