Hi all, I have been working on these two for a couple of months now and they are almost complete,Their names as of now are Ralph and Rita and they will be sold as a set with clothing and possibly a spaceship. Here is a sample of some of Ralph's expression morphs,I haven't gotten to Rita's yet. so,any interest in these two out there in Poserdom? all feedback welcomed :0) -3DZ

I think they are fantastic :) And different enough from anything else available that I'd most likely snap them up. Is there a body morph for Ralph to make his chest dead flat? And that tired face of Ralph's ... I feel just like that today LOL

Thanx Xena :0) Is there a body morph for Ralph to make his chest dead flat? well, there can be...lol I haven't made them any body morphs yet, only done head morphs so far :0) -3dz

"...so, any interest in these two out there in Poserdom?" Interested for sure, they look great; four things, though: 1. Any estimate of price? 2. Footware... boots or a boot/sock morph. I don't mind not having clothing if I can get away with a texture set to simulate clothing, but I need something to protect their feet on alien planets. 3. Any planned add-ons? 4. How big are they in comparison to other characters (Goobles, Darcassians, RC-Lina, etc.).

estimated price will be around 15-20 dollars for the set (depending on size). which will include, Ralph & Rita, one outfit for each, textures and possibly a spaceship. and here is a pic with them beside A3 :0) -3dz

You are probably not going to like this... but what makes them "alien"? They have standard human body proportions for the most part, including that stupid broken-back wasp-waist look so favored by Victorians who liked their women helpless, flat-shoulder blades, 2 breasts and belly-buttons like most primates, and nothing that earth characters don't have. Whomping big feet? The G.I.R.L. Three fingers? A host of toons, and Natrixa, and Elfquest morphs dating back to P4 days. One eye? Polyhemus and the rest of his cyclopian kin. Big head? Star Trek rubber-mask-of-the-week on a human body. So... how about quills, fins, bumps, webbing, extra limbs, limbs which bend backwards or have zig-zag or rotational joints, compound eyes, scales, round furry bellies... IOW something different and, er, alien. I'm attaching a shot of a replica nosecone. We sent men into space and back in that tiny cramped compartment! Think about what sort of creatures might like to joyride in that small jalopy. Wouldn't prehensile toes be handy so all four limbs could be operating the controls? Eyes all around? Probiscus with feeding tube? A fringe of lashes over gills? *Something* And it should still be possible to be "cute" while being different.... If it is pink and round, how deadly can it be? Pink, round, and furry, and we humans might as well turn over the deed to Earth. The market is flooded with stuff we already have. If merchants would be more adventuresome and inventive, we'd all benefit. Carolly the Opinionated

Thanx Carolly,Glad you like them...lol No really,to tell you the truth, I built them because "I" like them, and not really with the intention of selling them at all. I have been trying to ceate a mascot for my site, something that describes me and my personality and Ralph came out,and I couldn't leave him lonely so Rita followed. if you knew me(as some around here do)you'd know that these two are pretty fitting to that personality. The only reason I have decided to sell them is because I have been asked a few times, when will they be released? and finally that is why this message was put up,just to see if there really will be much interest in them when they are finished. But,those are really good ideas you have, and I will keep them in mind for future models as my modeling skills progress :0) -3dz

As much as all that stuff sounds bloody fantastic Carolly, you know what Poser is like. Anything that alien is going to be damned near, if not completely, impossible to rig. But if someone does make that sort of thing AND get it to work in Poser, I'm there with CC in hand :)

Hey DDD they look great! Carolly, if an strange ship lands on the earth and the visitors turn to be just like us they won't qualify for Aliens? If they are not from earth, they are aliens, period. Come on! relax the opiniometer! The thread is "Toon Aliens" Not the "Amazing never seen before...aliens"! This are toons they could be cute, pink, round and big eyed, whatever, as long as they are not realistic because if they are realistic then they are not toons:) Alf

Hi DDD! Yep, had been very busy with my daytime job and a couple of projects but log here and at ADPortal from time to time. Regarding your aliens, if you like I could give you the Koroko space ship so you can use it as a base. I think they could look great in it. Send me an email if you are interested.
