We've had a monthly challenge going on for quite some time, and a banner challenge maybe once a year, but IIRC there was lots of stuff happening in that Forum a few years back. One of the chief reasons that Forum is unique and worthwhile is that folks can enter the challenges using ANY methods or means: written, rendered, drawn, or photographed. It is fun to see all the ways a subject can be interpreted. However, one activity a month isn't really enough to keep interest up.... I think you've proposed some great ideas. I keep hoping to see the forum advertised in the newsletter, but it never happens; nor is the winner ever acknowledged. Maybe the moderators/coordinators could help out advertising them in the individual forums. I know we've each tried to advertise the Challenge Forum throughout the other forums, but it is a lot of work for just one or two people.
