I did that, not too long ago. Used this tutorial by Cliff. It's got some great tips in it, that I had never thought of. (Such as putting your runtimes in a top-level folder.)I highly recommend moving your runtime. When I put my runtimes on an external drive (instead of in the Poser folder), Poser sped up immensely.
If you're afraid of breaking something, you might consider copying your runtime to the new drive, then deleting everything you don't want from your main runtime.
The only problem is if you load scenes created before you moved your runtime, Poser won't be able to find the stuff. I solved that by running CRPro on any pz3 I wanted to use after the move.
If this will be a problem for you, you could just create a new runtime on your external drive, and put all your new stuff there, leaving your existing runtime intact. IOW, multiple runtimes.

The simples way is copy your complete Poser installation to your external harddrive and then start from there (with explorer or new shortcut). Ok it will bea little bit slower but thats it. Then start splitting your runtimes.

My hard drive is finally full. Can I move my Poser 5 Runtime Folder (over 8 gigs) and Texture Folders (about the same 8 gigs) to my external Hard Drive without having to Uninstall and Re-install my entire Poser 5 Program and if so how can I link these folders back to the Program. Thank You in Advance ..... the Ferret.
