What is the best program/plugin to get rid of noise?

Question the question. Answer the question. Question the answer...

I wish I knew what I was gonna say :oP

here are some Noise/Grain discussions posted recently with mention of different apps & postwork in fixing it: "Noise" "jpeg artifacts problems" "Noise Reduction Software" hope something there will help you :]

JimbO, i just saw the results of neatimage. Kemal just got finished working on a portrait of me that he took about 1 1/2 years ago when i was very ill. my face was very much affected by my illness, and neatimage really cleaned it up good. well, then after that he did other work on my portrait to finish it up. But he has it in stages...and you can really see the difference. cleans up color noise quite well too. Noiseware is one that Richard talked about, and i've had great results with that! dunno what is the best though 'cause i don't use noise reduction filters too often. I've heard Noise Ninja is really good too but never used it. Maybe you can try some demos of each and see what you like the best. For me, i want something that's user-friendly. if it's complicated, i don't want anything to do with it. Noiseware is easy. i don't know about the others. What i don't like about the free versions of Noiseware and neatimage is you can't use it as a plug in for PSP. Guess we just need to break down and buy them, huh~ :) good luck!

Either that Shiela or get PSP9 which has noise reduction built in :)

And every one said, 'If we only live,
We too will go to sea in a Sieve,---
To the hills of the Chankly Bore!'
Far and few, far and few, Are the lands where the Jumblies live;
Their heads are green, and their hands are blue, And they went to sea in a Sieve.
