Subject: Directory import and export problem

Ok, it's me again..;) have Blender 2.37, python 2.3. I'm trying to import something (.obj, .wings, 3ds). When I go to the directory with the files in it, I don't see anythign that's been created. I can delete files, and that registers, but I can make all the objects I want, and Blender doesn't see it. Is there a 'refresh directory' command? Moving the files to other directories doesn't seem to register either..

I wish I'd said that.. The Staircase Wit

Note to self
Self, don't put identically-named directories on 2 different hard drives..;)
