Misha My friend has one on these things, they do seem to be fun, hes has produced some interesting results with it. We were laughing about it as it looks a bit like a piece of drainpipe with a lens in it. It can produce a similar effect that you might get it you used a zoom lens and zoomed it on a long exposure. Maybe I will get one and have a play.

"a piece of drainpipe with a lens in it" Looked quite a lot like that to me also. Wonder if I could build one with a body cap, some flexible plumbing, and a cheapie lens? Though cleverness should be rewarded, I think $150 is a bit steep. Sure looks like fun though...

Misha, I think that it probably would be possible to make one, with a bit of determination, at least for a lot less then $150. I dont really know if that is expensive in relative terms, they are about 70 here, which I guess is ok for a toy.
