Subject: P5 Video Textures - need some help

mrsparky ( ) posted Sun, 18 September 2005 at 9:51 AM · edited Fri, 19 July 2024 at 3:56 AM

I mostly use P4 Pro and ain't too au-fay with the P5 material room and nodes. So... 1. Could someone please post a "brain-dead" simple how-to with a 1-2-3 screen-shot on how can I apply a video texture to a part. (in this instance a flat disc) ? 2. Are there any issues regarding poser and video codecs ? Thanks in advance.

Click the connector plug at the right side of the Diffuse Color channel (the first channel in the PoserSurface box).

Choose New Node > 2D Textures > Movie.

The Movie dialog opens. The top property is Video Source. Click that line to select the movie you want to use.

By default, the movie is tiled to fit the surface you are adding it to, and the movie will loop over and over.

Thanks Deecey. I've been working on something new and thought a video effect might do the trick and that info did it perfectly. Thanks again.
