Subject: The Usual Suspects - Apollo Max

RKane_1 ( ) posted Sun, 18 September 2005 at 11:58 AM · edited Sat, 25 January 2025 at 8:37 AM

Warning: a suspicious group has been seen in the vicinity...all we know is that they say they are "of Apollo". Whether this means they are a strange cult of sunworshippers or just a kinky gay thing, we can only speculate wildly as we are apt to do because we are American. All that is know is that they run around naked and bald and seem to have an affinity for White Chaddar Cheezits and Sprite Zero.

But seriously folks...

I have been working on creating several morphs and characters for Apollo Max and wanted to share some of them with you for feedback to see if they would be of interest in the market.

May I present...

For those of us who have that pack, can you list the dial settings please? That is, if it's allowed.

And actually, no. Not one Morpheaus Maximus dial on the boys, I'm afraid. All are either homebrew or the original morphs that came with Apollo. smile

I haven't even counted the number of morphs I have but I have 13 JUST for chin Clefts alone chuckle

If I offer them to the public, I might give them away with the stipulation that I get due credit AND...and here's the big one.... You give $20 to Netherworks (as he was uprooted by Hurricane Katrina), Deancarl's widow, or give to Hurricane Relief in general.

I am originally from Louisiana and friends of mine are caught up in the aftermath. I haven't heard from a few and this may be the only way I can help, so this would be on the honor system if I were to offer them. Also my father died of cancer and Deancarl was an artist that I admired. I know that funerals can be expensive.

Would you guys be willing to pay providing it went to those causes?

And does anyone know if Deancarl had a paypal account so that people could donate to his widow?

"Would you guys be willing to pay providing it went to those causes?" Can't speak for anyone but me, but that's an excellent idea!

Okay, did a count and currently I have... 16 Characters (and a few alternate extras) NO Phonemes 3 Full Body Morphs (Mainly dealing with Neck Fat and Wattle) 2 Forehead Morphs 10 Brow Morphs (really 5 with a few alternates) NO Eye Morphs (Working a on a few but need to get "slaving" a morph to eye placement figured out smile) 10 Ear Morphs (really 6 with a few alternates) Noses: 11 Morphs for the Nose Tip 8 Morphs for the Nose Bridge in general 8 Morphs for the Upper Nose Bridge area 7 Morphs for the Lower Nose Bridge area 4 General Nose Shapes 30 Cheek Morphs (really 7 with a BUNCH of alternates) 16 for the Mouth and Lips (really 6 with a few alternates) 19 Jawline Morphs (really 7 with alternates) 19 Chin Morphs (really 5 with several alternates) 13 general Head Shape Morphs And I am working on a bunch of different expressions as well to quickly move from one expression to the next and get a good range out of one character. Thats all so far but when I get bored, I make morphs smile I am a one trick pony. I don't know how to do textures. I don't know how to render particularly well. Hell, I don't really know how to use the hair room and I am a little shaky on how to conform clothing.... but I morph for fun. smile

In re-reading the posts, I see I misunderstood what you said, Wolf. Sorry. I thought you were implying my guys were done with Morpheus Maximus but now I see you were saying the "Gubernator" was a dial off of Morpheus Maximus. smile Sorry about the mix-up. I blame it on lackl of sleep and the White Cheddar Cheezits and Sprite Zero. smile

byAnton ( ) posted Mon, 19 September 2005 at 4:03 AM

They look awesome. Most all of Apollo's phonemes should work fine with them. Since Apollo includes all the morphs you don't have to worry about removing any. Your faces look awesome. I chuckled at the "Colm" one. Colm will like that. hehehe I like the profiles. Everything looks really well done, even the more specific fantasy ones. Nice thugs in there. Great for dark alleys and dungeons. :)

Thanks, Anton!. If I distribute the .cr2, that is okay by you, right. I think thats what it says in the readme. I will have to look. By the by, if I redistribute the .cr2, will the categories I have the sets organized in transfer too?

byAnton ( ) posted Mon, 19 September 2005 at 6:24 AM · edited Mon, 19 September 2005 at 6:25 AM

Yeah. NP. It's all in the readme. Not sure about categorizing. You mean Poser6 dial grouping? Might want to pop into RDNA Poser6 forum and ask. Colm would know. Apollo's default cr2 is P4 and up so just add in your readme clealy what version you saved it out of if you are using Poser5 or 6. That way noone is alarmed if they get a "Newer Version" message.

Yes, dial grouping. I would go crazy right now if I didn't have that. So many morphs and no way to organize them? Ack. I suppose I could organize them the old fashioned way. Say, when you get done with the female version of Apollo....Venus, isn't it? Would you let me have a crack at her first for morphs? I would appreciate it and be able to do a LOT of work on her. smile When is she due out?
