Poser Figure Magic, Poser Figure Studio 2 new Japanese Poser books on amazon.co.jp Since the titles were in English I took a risk there was English translations to the text as I've seen in other Japanese art books I've bought, and ordered them. Unfortunately, aside from the title, some chapter headings, and some key terms, it's 99.7% Japanese characters. Pity, as both seem to be packed with exhaustively illustrated step-by-step tutorials. Mildly embarrassing to admit the impulse-buy, but I felt it was a bout a 50-50 chance this might be the case, so I won't kick. Anyone else familiar with these two titles? Any chance there's an English translation in the works? It's curious how many Japanese publications I've seen that casually include English text among the ideograms. I've seen it a lot in magazines, but never in English titled books. Fascinating, really. In any event, these both look like excellent quality publications, and I heartily recommend them to anyone who reads Kanji or is a visual aphasic. G

Seems that many Japanese are moving away from katakana to the Roman alphabetics instead. I have several "How to Draw Manga" books in the original Japanese - hasn't stopped me! ;) This also reminds me of Cinema 4D. Some of the best books for it are in German since the Maxon is based there. Haven't seen any mention of ever translating these to English. I'm going to go check 'em out anywho.

Both books are written in Japanese Kanji and Hiragana.

I have 'Poser Figure Studio'. This book is for Poser 5, and has many screen captured images from Poser 5 Japanese version (Menus and parameter names are in japanese).

May be it's difficult to understand if you can not read Japanese.
