The only one I could donate to you is broken so I would'nt do that to you LOL Buying digital cameras now is really inexpesive. If this is just for internet images you really don't have to go high on the megapixels. You do need a steady hand is about all. Lots of camera shops have used one there too. I bet you could get a real good deal. My advice is to not get one that is too small so you have to fidget a lot to see what you are shooting.

absence but in the mastery of his passions."
The thing about just a "hobby" is that when you get into digital and see how fast and easy it is to work with images...it catches on....then you wonder if you should have got something better... Well at least for me it went that way.

you can get a nikon 7900 for around 399 ( cheaper on line) at best buy.. i had one and it took amazing pictures.. i miss it.. i quit my career and dont have the money now but i have my kids seems all my money goes into three kids.. i am hoping a new cam for my 40th bday on the 16th but mike just said no.. so i know how you feel... and its hard when you dont have a great cam and want to take great shots.. i had my sisters rebel in my hands and was lusting after it and remebered how i used to make 100 an hour .. but now its garage sales and wall mart and those days are gone. if i had one i would donate but haha i am working with a broken cam i have to whack to turn on half the time LOL a kodack easyshare 330 thats been dropped 10 times haaha so i understand how you feel my advice is to save around 400 and get something above 7 pixals then the magic happens... in time ..it will come just have to want it enough i feel... sorry to go on and on .. i just relate so much!!
kimmers ♥ :O)
Here's a great site, I know there are more that others have & probably will post. dpreview Start within your budget, try to save a bit more and go from there. When I purchased my Sony, it was top notch for a non-Pro model. Not too long after, the market upgraded, which is the norm in electronics. A decent Camera, and a decent editing program will give you a great start. Keep us updated & Have fun!! Rod

Aaarrrggghhh!!! I wish you had asked a few weeks ago. I had an Olympus back then that i much rather would have given you than those ungrateful neighbours of mine that now begged it into their hands. If anyone have a Canon D20 laying around...ill be happy to take them off your hands...Pascale perhaps? From what i can tell, youre mostly uploading photos shot with your Sony anyway, lol. #:oP
How come we say 'It's colder than hell outside' when
isn't it realistically always colder than hell since hell is
supposed to be fire and brimstone?

sorry, but i don't have one to donate either, Christine. My honey and i each have a cam (Sony DSC-F828 & Sony DSC-717), and i can recommend both of those cams. the 717 is probably fairly cheap right now. without knowing your budget, it's hard to make a recommendation, but you might check around in your town at the local camera stores. There are several camera shops here that sell used cameras and cam equipment. Good luck, Christine!!! :)

i started with the Olympus4000.. but then i dropped it :( 4 mgpx is certainly sufficent enough & less then $300 now.. unless you plan on making large prints for comprehensive listings & reviews- www.dpreview.com www.steves-digicams.com www.imaging-resource.com www.cnet.com -review & compare prices do check what ebay has to offer, & camera stores for used cams or better yet factory refurbishedFrom personal experience i suggest you go read as much as you can online then make a list of several you feel you can afford and a few that are a step or two up from that. Read some more about these. Then throw out the affordably list and go with the other, lol. Better to get what you REALLY want than settle for what you can afford. I made a list of 5 MegaPixil cameras when my 3 MegaPixil one died. Then i followed the above advice and bought a 7 MegaPixil one lol. Nikon 7900 with extra battery and 256MB memory card plus shipping for $425 on-line. Camera was $309 and options were $100. Good luck, Lee
hiya christine... as promised found a fuji fineppix s7000 abd lenses in orginal box..with 2 256mb xd cards, fuji wide angle..and raxnox telecoverter.... all for 300 pounds.. ((pound sign doesnt work..)) but in the uk.. if you contact me will give you the link.. L started in digital photography with a fuji..working out the price in dollars.. think thats roughly $480. depending on exchange rate... nikki

I know I can just go to WalMart or the like and purchase a new digital camera, but if any of you have one you'd like to sell me, or donate to me, I would be extremely appreciative. Or, if you have any other suggestions. I am open. I know this sounds silly to most of you, but thanks for reading this and thanks for any help. Christine.
