I've discovered that my landscape lens is producing a lot of speckles, I know it's the lens because my close-up lens is still producing clear images.

So I many not have any more landscapes of Oman to post, unless I can figure out my husband's camera (a fujifilm).

In the meantime here's a last few pics:

This first one because it shows some real dunes in a desert - they look so smooth don't they?

Oh and this one - I thought it was just some kids who'd been playing in the sand at the beach, but not so - there are thousands of these all over the beach at Salalah, it seems this is a crab house! Some of the guys here go down there to fish off the beach and they say you can have endless fun with the crabs - keep still and they all come out, if you then jump up and down a bit - they all rush back.... (sigh) men and their little games eh? gggg

"endless fun with the crabs - keep still and they all come out, if you then jump up and down a bit - they all rush back"...........I bet you tried it didnt you!! ;)....There are some weird and wonderful shapes in the world and i bet you could make this in Bryce ( I'm going to give it a try if you dont mind me saving this image). Thanks for the insight of this place.

Sure, go ahead. Someone is helping me in Wings with it, but they are so far ahead of me that even their simplest suggestions are beyond me.

And no, I didn't try the crab game - I only heard of it the day after when Ian mentioned the weird little hills at work. Of course, if we ever go back there, I'm gonna try it. Too right I am!
