Check out the Gigapxl Project. It is the epiphamy of large format photography. The pictures do start out on film, but that is only an intermediate step.

Very cool. I'm assuming you mean "epitomy" of large format photography. I'm excited to see any projects like this, so I'd have to say they're pretty exemplary indeed. Thanks for sharing this.

That's what I meant, I knew it didn't look right!

Yes, thanks for sharing. Someone posted something sorta similar while back, only this was with a digital camera that took mega-panoramas, stiching hundreds of images together. Bryce canyon was an example. Neat site, will exlpore more soon.

ha ha. OK, TobinLam. I proffered my own special typo above. It's not epitomy either. It's epitome. I, like you, began to doubt mine looked right. And it wasn't. Wow, what an off day. Incidentally, there is another word that, whereas it was not the word you wanted certainly, it very much resembles yours, the word "epiphany." Which is sort of like a moment of truth or revelation or enlightenment. Great word, BTW. Thought I'd share it to get myself out of wordsmith debtor's prison. I've been writing legal-ese all morning, as I am forming a from-scratch corporation. My eyes are glazing over with all the jargon required, and I've lost sight of how normal people write and spell. All this does not take away one whit, though, from how great that site is. I will be spending a lot of time there this weekend. Thanks again for sharing it.

I normal and write like I talk. People tell me that no good in writing. Do this help you get out of that word prision

Thanks, that is one intresting site, just spent an hour there. 8 inch roll film, didn't realise there was such a film. I hope the project goes world wide one day. Steve
