Photography F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 13 3:04 pm)
i agree with Colm, we have very few boundaries for this site. a couple of my pics here are combinations of several pics along with some tweaking in the post shop. without that we wouldn't have new age photography. i've posted dozens of the combined/tweaked photos in my main gallery and consider them still photographic studies that i could post here if i saw in them something i wanted to make a point with.

It's the same old chestnut again... In the post below this one, a 'possible' new member to our photography forum has deleted his first and introductory 'Photographic' work, as he fears that he has offended us. The reason he feels this is because his work is not a straight out of the box photograph and is a work using three photographs that have beeen montaged and treated with a lot of digital post production work. I will not say what was said but it was enough to make our new member apologize to the forum and delete his image. I will most probably have to say this again in the near future when we hopefully have more participants: This forum is about EVERYTHING photographic. That includes photo/digital images, fine art photography and photographs that have been printed on the sides of buckets. As long as the work includes an inkling of invovement in the photographic process it is 100% welcome on this forum. There are only a handful of Renderosity members participating on our forum. It sure aint gonna get any bigger if we treat each other and 'NEW' members in this way. Everybody on this forum needs to keep their minds open to the 'FACT' that photography is a vast field. It is not just 'Ansel Adams' and a place where we just show pretty pictures. This forum is welcome to 'ALL' who have an interest in the photographic process. We will not be held back by any boundries. If you photograph the next commissioned portrait of the Queen of England, let us see it and comment and learn. If you photograph mouse droppings on a plate of mashed potatoe please let us see it. The only subject not allowed is blatent in your face pornography. I can take the heat!!! Colm...
