thats the way i do it: encode my movies using DivX codec Store them on my Archos video recorder play them from the archos through a VHS(or any type) recorder... Done... Try and find a friend who owns some kind of digital video recorder/player (archos-like)

A video card with a TV output connected to a VCR should do it. To add sound, you would have to connect your sound card output to the VCR sound input, following the sound card and VCR instructions.

The subject says digital video to film, but his message says tape to video. Since he mentions a kinescope, I think what he wants to do is put his digital video onto film.

I can't imagine it costing $300 a minute to put digital video on tape, but to put it on film...that I can see.
