Since my puter is down and I've lost all my files anyway I'm thinking about getting P6 installed....I really like the idea of multiple runtimes!! ;) At any rate one of the things I enjoy the most is texturing but I am spoiled with my MPE for the pose files. Those of you who make mat poses for P6 how much more difficult is that? Since I haven't got a clue about the material room... Just wanted some personal opinions about this.

If you want to make MAT poses purely for use in Poser 6, that's built in. You can save a material collection (MC6) file into your library from the Poser interface, and no separate program is required. If you're looking for MAT poses that can be distributed to users of Poser 4 or 5, I believe MC6s can be edited to do that, but I have no experience of it.

You need only edit a couple of lines to turn it into an old-school MAT pose.

The beginning of a Poser 6 .mc6 material collection looks like this:

<b></b>

Change it to look like this, instead:

<b></b>

Then save the edited file to one of your pose folders, with a .pz2 extension. Message edited on: 11/09/2005 06:20
